exchange...

Read my uni email today and to my dismay, i need to make some changes to my exchange plans. I must have really wished to go for a year as i've overlooked 3 important words - Semester long exchange. (How could i have missed that?!) I'm pretty certain my prof din know about that cuz he has approved my subject plan. Unfortunately, the lecturer in charged in london seemed pretty strict about it. He told me to reconsider my plan cuz it's unlikely they would accept any one opting for year long exchange.

Spent the afternoon searching for other uni(s) but to no avail. i've found some but the subjects they offer are not a good fit to mine. In the midst of my exams... nah.. i dun think it's the best thing to do. but i'm leaving immediately after my exams. so i have to do it now or never! argh. and it's really not easy to find a good fit cuz i have to agree its quite a weird combination unlike commerce...

choices:

1. I can simply submit the year long study plan with a high chance of rejection. either i get it my way or nothing at all.

2. To compromise. I change my subject plan so that it'll fit a semester even thou i dont like those subjects. if i'm accepted, I'll have the chance to spend the summer term there. I prefer having the fall semester but i cant get everything i want, can i? if rejected, i'll stay in melbourne.

3. Go thru all the hassle of looking for a uni and meeting my prof to get approval within A WEEK! and risking my exams which will determine if i can qualify for the exchange programme.

No matter what the final decision will be, One thing for sure, i'll submit it before i leave for Singapore.

Hmmm... When your exam ends? Is it not possible to delay coming back to Singapore and finish the study plan first after exams, then come back to Singapore?

Thanks Kester! :)
The next available flight back to Singapore is in mid January 08. But i have to return for my internship so i cant delay my flight. I've been thinking about it.. rather than missing this opportunity, i'll try to find another university. worse case scenario, i'll jus summit the study plan i have but have a back up plan for my second and third choices and i'll be consulting the exchange prog officer to about it. so hopefully it'll all turn out well. ^^
